Ballack Baulks At London Property Prices

Ballack is struggling to get a foot on the London property ladderMerely weeks after signing a lucrative contract at Chelsea, Germany captain Michael Ballack may request a pay rise as he is finding property prices in London too expensive.

Despite being possibly the highest earner in the Premiership, stingy Ballack prefers to rent rather than buy during his stay in the capital.

Ballack needs a reality check and quickly. He earns £130,000 a week and with properties in the Chelsea and Kensington area costing an average of £800,000, it would take him about six weeks to buy one outright in cash.

If he is complaining about getting onto the UK property ladder with his millions in the bank, then what hope is there for the rest of us?

It is a fact that property prices in London are too expensive. Nobody can argue with that. So why is it an issue if a very highly paid footballer makes this remark ? The fact that he is earning lots of money doesn’t mean that he is not entitled to remark how expensive is to buy in London compare to other cities in Europe.

In fact he also remarked how expensive school fees are, because in the rest of Europe children happily goes to State school and education is more than adequate.

In my book he is just moneywise not stingy.

Yes property is expensive in London. But in the real world who earns £130.000 a week???? Ballack does not have the right to complain and annoy every one else who is not in the same financial luxury he is embasked in. 6 weeks to buy a house???? most people it would take 20 years to move up that far in the property ladder, just another case of footballers being paid too much. Would’nt money be better spent on youth schemes, or re-investing in young English players????I think so!
