Footballers Are Idiots

I knew it would be a great idea to set up this website and it didn’t take long for the first idiot entry to be logged.

Congratulations to Bristol City’s Bradley Orr, a former Newcastle United reject, who has the dubious honour of christening this website. He tried to follow in the footsteps of another former Magpies moron, Lee Bowyer, by attacking one of his own players on the field.

Orr appeared to aim a headbutt at team mate Louis Carey to earn himself a red card at half time in the League One clash at Northampton Town. Amazingly, the Robins managed to win the match 3-1 even with a man short.

John Gorman’s side should be appalled. Can’t even beat a team with an extra man, despite going 1-0 up in the first place? Idiots.

Permanently injured defender Jon Woodgate has returned to the Premiership by joining Middlesbrough on a season long loan from Real Madrid, with the option of making the deal permanent.

The former Newcastle United centre back, cruelly nicknamed Village by his team mates due to astounding brain power, made just 14 appearances in Spain since his £13.4 million arrival in 2004 and memorably marked his debut by scoring an own goal.

Manager Gareth Southgate has such confidence in Woodgate being a success at the Riverside Stadium, he also went and snapped up Chelsea defender Robert Huth. You know, just in case.

Promising Reading striker Leroy Lita is doing his best to ruin a great start to his season by getting himself arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.

Lita, who scored the winning goal against Middlesbrough on the opening day of the season, was questioned by police in Bristol after allegedly headbutting a man during a night out.

Lita has been accused of leaving his victim with a black eye. I thought given the player’s diminutive stature, a kick in the nuts would have been the best he could manage.
